  • Main architect of the Systems Integration of Dispatch-1 ERP Service package with Peak’s new mobile PDA solution. Interface allowed for all the main functions of the ERP package to be performed in batch mode, with data being captured on PDA and synched nightly.
  • Responsible for project planning and defining deliverables.
  • Liaison between business users and Peak’s IT team.
  • Did data analysis to support a company wide audit to comply with Sarbanes Oxley.  Wrote reports to highlight possible non-compliance and supported business users in identifying compliance issues.
  • Responsible for designing solutions and overall system architecture improvements.
  • Was the point person for all the scripts and database reconstruction for obsolete data purge from Peak’s mission critical database. One- third of the historical database was purged, and database was reconstructed. This greatly improved performance.


 

US Department of the Interior / National Park Service (NPS) -                      
Division of Portfolio Management and Strategic Planning


  • Led the effort to comply with OMB’s PII Mandate (Personally Identifiable Information).  Working directly with Privacy Officer took charge of the Process and created guidelines and templates for data calls.  Created a project plan for the whole project.  Was commended by Senior Management.
  • Management of Natural Resources Blueprint – Interviewed stakeholders, and created artifacts such as SWOT, organizational readiness assessment etc.
  • Responsible for collecting data from regional offices to be reported to OMB (OMB Assessments).
  • Studied As-Is and To-Be architecture and created presentations for the Chief Architect at DOI.
  • Starting inter-bureau collaboration between Security, Privacy and EA.   The result was a more coordinated response to regions for data calls and information.
  • Responsible for Dept. of Interiors Enterprise Architecture Repository (DEAR).  Created a scoring matrix and data views on quality of EA data in the Department Enterprise Architecture Repository.  DEAR is using POPKIN Systems Architect Tool.
  • Created processes to keep data current in DEAR and responsible for reporting back to the Department on the quality of data.
  • Lead the effort to map National Park Service’s business processes and systems to Federal Enterprise Architecture Reference Models.
  • Was instrumental in helping the CPIC team with quarterly reporting and capitol planning.
  • Represented NPS at Interior Architects Working Group and was a participant in many departmental conferences.
  • Responsible for creation of artifacts to support the NPS’s Chief Architect in his mission of presenting department business at regional and inter-departmental forums.
  • Data analysis on BIA/Indian Trust systems in DEAR and created presentations recommending future steps. 

US Department of Labor - IT Governance & Capital Planning


  • Review IT investments for compliance with Departments strategic goals.  Make sure investments are on track, within budget and comply with department enterprise architecture and meet all business and performance requirements. 
  • Wrote the Enterprise Roadmap for US Dept. of Labor. Enterprise Roadmap is the product of both a grass roots collaboration across agencies and a formal strategy development process.
  • Enterprise Architect.  Responsible for Target Architecture Guidance for all DOL bureaus as well as evaluating investments for EA compliance per OMB guidelines.  
  • Provide guidance on Information Resources Management Strategic Plan.  
  • Created DOL adherence to the FEA v2 CRM compliance.

Employment and Training Administration - Cyber Security


  • Certification & Accreditation (C&A) of General Support System (ETA-GSS) and continuous monitoring against NIST 800 53 Rev 3 controls. In addition we have completed C&A on four major applications for ETA.
  • Conducting scans looking for critical vulnerabilities in hardware infrastructure as well as major applications.
  • PMO representative(s) for installation of Automated Solutions to comply with OMB’s continuous monitoring requirement (Tivoli Endpoint Manager)
  • Applying the Risk Assessment Framework (C&A) based on NIST 800 53 Rev 3 on major applications.

  • Liaison between Department of State and Carlson Wagonlit implementation team.
  • Instrumental in solution design and system development.  Was the subject matter expert and developed many artifacts detailing as-IS and To-Be architecture.
  • Produced business flow diagrams detailing several functional areas of the system.
  • Responsible for gathering requirements and writing documents that detailed user specifications and enhancements required.
  • Subject matter expert on travel authorizations, voucher processing, authorization amendments, history as well as travel types.
  • Developed scripts to test various functional areas of the system.

Progress Software Corporation

 

  • Solutions consultant to a number of Progress customers.
  • Provided training to customers on tools and applications.
  • Maintenance and design coaching of progress Databases v8/v9.
  • Ocwen Technologies – Systems Integration and conversion from a legacy mortgage system to a client server mortgage system.  Mapped business procedures and was the point person for data mapping between the two systems.  The client was a federal bank and the project included all aspects of conversion. 
  • Technical lead/manager/developer and mentored and trained staff.
  • Responsible for all the database design and implementation, system design and most of the requirement specifications.
  • Named Consultant of the Year (3rd Quarter) in 1998 for bringing to close a very complex and highly politicized project at one of progress’s biggest clients (Ocwen Federal Bank’s Mortgage System). This project was one of the most successful at the client site in their history and received a letter of commendation from the CIO.
